Beneatha: Her dream is to go to college and be a doctor. Beneatha and Walter argue over money and how she will pay for college Walter: I just ain't many girls who decide.. Walter and Beneatha: "to be a doctor." on page 36 . If Beneatha keeps staying determined she will achieve her dream by the end of the play. This is because Beneatha is very strong minded and goes for what she wants.
Walter: His dream is to have money, and a lot of it. Walter thinks if he has a lot of money he will live and be more comfortable. When Mama asks why Walter talks so much about money Walter says "Because it's life, Mama!" On page 74. This goal will not be reached by the end of the play. This is because Walter wants to go out and plan how to get rich quick all the time, and mostly it doesn't work out like that.
Ruth: Her dream is to live nicely and comfortably. She doesn't Necessarily need money to do so, but she is always tired. Tired of arguing, being flat broke, and worrying. "I'm tired." page 42. I believe that by the end of the play, Ruth will have a nicer home with more comfortable living space, and there will be less arguing in the house. This means she will get her dream.
Mama: Her dream is to provide a nice home for her family and make them happy. "I just seen my family falling apart today...just falling to pieces in front of my eyes...We couldn't of gone on like we was today." Page 94. She will achieve her dream by the end of the play since she bought a house and it could take a lot of stress off the family.
Joseph Asagai: His dream is for Beneatha to decide if she wants him or not. "How much time must there be before one knows what one feels?" Page 60. He will get his dream by the end of the play. This is because Beneatha seems to be more comfortable around him and he doesn't care about appearances, so Beneatha will probably choose him.

Write a Play
Lilly- Mother of Victoria and Paden and wife of Rob. She’s Strong, pretty, bossy. Usually thinks she is always right. She’s in her mid 30’s.
Victoria- Teen, laid back, doesn’t think before she speaks, speaks her mind. She makes a lot of jokes at the wrong time that come off kind of mean. Is always arguing with Lilly.
Paden- Toddler, short tempered. Always wants to be in everyone’s face. Gets babied more than should. Victoria’s Step father.
Rob- In his very late 20’s. Short Tempered, smart mouth and jokes about things that should never be joked about. Goes away from everyone when he is mad and acts immature.
All 4 of them are watching the super bowl on high definition in the living room on the couch. It is a Sunday at about 6:30 pm and Lilly asked Victoria to watch some with her before she leaves for her friend’s house. Lilly wants to go right then but politely agrees to watch some of it with them and eat junk food.
Lilly: Wow honey I really like the HD the picture is so much clearer.
Rob: Yeah, I can switch it to show you the difference if you would like.
Paden: AAAAAAAAAAH!!!! Tori!!! Go GO GO! Not Nice!
Rob: Jesus Victoria, He’s Only three! You could have moved your feet out of the way so he didn’t Trip on them What is wrong with you!
Victoria: I did move my feet, He was trying to climb over them so I put them down so he could walk right through, and he fell. My bad.
Lilly: Well that was stupid you could have helped him or at least moved so he could get through. How old are you?
Victoria: 15. How old are you?
Lilly: Don’t give me attitude I’ll knock you out.
Victoria: Okay…
Rob: Oh geeze I’m sorry lilly. You okay?
Victoria: Jesus Rob! She’s only 37! You could have moved out of the way!
Victoria: Oh Come on Rob, It was a joke!
Lilly: You go apologize right now! That was NOT called for!
Victoria: Well it was A joke and I thought it was pretty funny. I don’t believe in apologizing when I’m not sorry. There is no point to it. That was why people never believe you when you really are sorry.
Lilly: Go say sorry and when you come back you can leave, Your lucky your leaving in the first place, now that you have upset everyone in the house, once again! Your never home!
Victoria: I am home all the time with all my schedules I never have time to do anything!
Lilly: well I never see you!
Victoria: BYE!
