Blog Post 4: Huck Finn: Setting Description
The place that is most familiar and dear to me is my room and it has been this way for a little over 3 years now. It always has different smells of fruit from my lotions, perfumes, or candles. There are 4 walls that are the same size, and a small wall big enough for my door is the 5th wall. The Color of the walls are dark purple, and definitely not bare. On the wall nearest to the door leading to the hall way next to the other wall with the window has a hot pink cloth board holding pictures of my closest friends. On the right of that are pictures of beautiful models that aren’t “stick” skinny and my bed it. On the next wall, too the right has a window with black pull down shades, a divider screen, and a mirror, where I sit every morning to do my hair and makeup. The wall next to that, has a Hulk poster and another window, another has black wood shelves holding candles, and my closet door. The 5th wall is the smallest and is big enough for my door, leading to the hallway. The major pieces of furniture in my room are my Black trundle bed with cushiony head and foot boards with a silver metal pole on the top of the boards, and 3 drawers and the bottom of the bed. There is also my round side table; on it are my alarm clock, a candle, a lamp, and a picture of my best friend and me. Next to that, is my 3 shelved TV stand holding my perfumes, lotions and of course the TV, DVD player, and cable box. When I am there, I usually relax on my pillow top mattress with my cat, listen to music and text or stare at the black and silver ceiling fan and think. I go here to get away from everyone else and have time to myself. Usually the only people in my room are my friends, and sometimes my 3 year old brother. When I am there, I feel at ease and comfortable.
